graduations and birthdays

We took a quick trip to Lawrence, Kansas for Dhyana'a dance program. She graduates this month and so we also had a little graduation party at the hotel for her. It was fun seeing the KU campus and her apartment. Even her boyfriend's grandparents came, which was really sweet. We are so proud of her.
Then Jennifer and Lila came to St. Louis for a week. Lila's 13th birthday was in November, so we celebrated that too. Of course we had to play some cards and games. You can't be in this family if you don't like to play any and all games. We start 'em at a young age. I think it will be something they remember when then grow up and have their own families.

Halloween done right

Steve's brother and sister in law seem to like Halloween a little. Not only do they have inside their house decorated, but the backyard is decked out too. They said they need to rent a storage bin to store all the stuff they have accumulated

My second cousin and her husband, daughter, son in law and new granddaughter came to town just for the weekend. Her mom and my dad were cousins. Sunday, we went to Bevo Mill for brunch.
